Bluetti Elite 100 V2 AC or DC Output Not Working: ECO Mode and Limits

If the Bluetti Elite 100 V2 is on but its AC or DC output keeps switching off, the likely cause is ECO mode. Bluetti's manual says AC-ECO and DC-ECO are enabled by default and shut the output off after a period of low or no load, and it tells you to disable ECO for devices under 60W.

Figures on this page are quoted from the official Bluetti Elite 100 V2 user manual (V2.1), as read on 5 November 2026. Manuals are revised and firmware changes behaviour, so if your own unit's manual disagrees with this page, follow the manual.
  1. Check whether ECO mode is on
  2. Remember AC-ECO is not available while charging from AC
  3. Check the output limits and the warning icons
  4. Know what Power Lifting Mode does
Work through these in order โ€” each step rules out a cause before the next one.

Step 1: Check whether ECO mode is on

The manual states that AC-ECO and DC-ECO modes are enabled by default, and that the unit shuts off the AC or DC output after a period of low or no load. It specifically advises disabling ECO mode when connecting small devices under 60W or critical appliances such as lights and refrigerators.

To turn ECO off, press the ECO mode button, which switches AC-ECO and DC-ECO on and off together. The BLUETTI app controls them separately. In Settings Mode the ECO setting is page P05. Enter that mode by pressing the AC and DC power buttons together for about 2 seconds, use the DC button to move between pages and the AC button to change a value.

Step 2: Remember AC-ECO is not available while charging from AC

The manual notes that AC-ECO mode is not available when the unit is charging with AC power. If the behaviour changes depending on whether the wall charger is plugged in, that is why.

Step 3: Check the output limits and the warning icons

The AC outlets are rated 1,800W maximum, and AC plus DC output together is 1,900W maximum. Watch the LCD for the Overload, Short Circuit, Temp Alert and System Fault icons, which the manual lists among the display symbols.

The cigarette lighter port and the DC5521 ports are wired in parallel, with a combined maximum of 10A. The USB-C ports are rated 100W and 140W.

Step 4: Know what Power Lifting Mode does

Power Lifting Mode is disabled by default. The manual says it lets the unit power up to 2,700W of pure resistive loads such as kettles, electric blankets and hairdryers, but only for pure resistive loads rated 1,800W to 2,700W, and the actual output power is still 1,800W.

Our reading: do not expect it to help start motors or electronics, because the manual restricts the mode to pure resistive loads.

FAQ

Why does my Elite 100 V2 turn off when I plug in a small device?

ECO mode, which is on by default, shuts the AC or DC output off after low or no load. The manual advises disabling it for devices under 60W.

Can the Elite 100 V2 run a 2,000W heater?

Only a pure resistive heating load, and only with Power Lifting Mode enabled. The manual says that mode allows resistive loads of 1,800W-2,700W while the actual output stays at 1,800W.

Will it keep a fridge running without ECO tripping?

The manual recommends disabling ECO mode for critical appliances such as lights and refrigerators so the output does not switch off at low load.
