Anker PowerHouse AC Outlet Not Working: Maximum Output by Model

If an Anker PowerHouse is fully charged but its AC outlet will not power a device, Anker's support article gives one explanation first: the device's power requirement in watts may exceed the maximum output of the AC outlet. Anker publishes that limit for each model, and it ranges from 100W to 1,500W.

Figures on this page are quoted from Anker's support article "What should I do if the AC outlet does not work?", as read on 5 November 2026. Manuals are revised and firmware changes behaviour, so if your own unit's manual disagrees with this page, follow the manual.
  1. Match your model to its AC output limit
  2. Read the device's label, not your assumption
  3. If the device is within the limit and it still will not run
Work through these in order โ€” each step rules out a cause before the next one.

Step 1: Match your model to its AC output limit

Anker's article lists these maximum AC outputs. A1702 PowerHouse 200Wh: 100W. A1710 Anker 511 (97Wh): 100W. A1720 Anker 521 (256Wh): 200W. A1730 Anker 533 (389Wh): 300W. A1731 Anker 523 (288Wh): 300W. A1750 Anker 545 (778Wh): 500W. A1751 Anker 535 (512Wh): 500W. A1770 Anker 757 (1,229Wh): 1,500W.

Anker's instruction is to make sure the device you are connecting to the AC outlet is within the maximum output listed for your model. If it is not, the outlet will not power it however full the battery is.

Step 2: Read the device's label, not your assumption

The watts a device needs are on its rating label. Heating appliances, kettles, hair dryers and power tools commonly draw far more than the 100W to 500W these models allow, and anything with a motor or compressor draws extra for a moment at startup.

That startup surge is general behaviour rather than something Anker states for these models; our guide to surge versus continuous wattage explains it.

Step 3: If the device is within the limit and it still will not run

Anker's article ends with a single further step: if that does not resolve the problem, contact Anker directly. This page does not list other fixes for these models because the article does not give any.

FAQ

Why does my Anker 535 not run my kettle?

The Anker 535's AC outlet is limited to 500W, per Anker's support article, and a kettle needs far more than that.

What is the AC output limit of the Anker 757?

Anker lists 1,500W for the A1770 Anker 757 (PowerHouse 1229Wh).

Does this apply to Anker SOLIX models?

No. This table covers the older PowerHouse and numbered models listed in Anker's article. SOLIX models have their own limits, for example about 2,000W on the C1000 Gen 2.

Symptoms overlap more than they look like they do โ€” a unit that shuts down under load and one that never reaches 100% often trace back to the same limit. The rest of the troubleshooting set:
