Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 Error Codes and What to Do About Them
The Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 user guide (A1763) lists its error codes in one table. This page covers the ten codes in that table: output faults on the USB and car-socket ports, temperature cut-offs, and an AC overload at about 2,000W.

- Output and port faults: E0003, E0008, E0009, E0010, E0014
- Temperature cut-offs: E0027, E0028, E0032, E0033
- AC overload: E0036
- Power, screen and standby behaviour to know before you suspect a fault
Output and port faults: E0003, E0008, E0009, E0010, E0014
E0003: the voltage of the USB-A port is above 5.7V or below 3.8V. Anker's fix is to plug the connected device in again, or short press the car socket button.
E0008: the charging current for the device on the 15W USB-C port exceeds 3.8A. Same fix: plug the device in again, or short press the car socket button.
E0009 and E0010: overloads or short circuits in connected devices and cables caused the output to shut down. Disconnect, then plug the devices on the USB-C ports back in. Trying a different cable first is our suggestion, not Anker's.
E0014: the voltage of the car socket is above 14.4V or below 10.4V. Press the car socket button again after 30 seconds.
Temperature cut-offs: E0027, E0028, E0032, E0033
E0027: the charging temperature of the BMS exceeds 136.4°F / 58°C. Stop using the power station until its temperature is below 131°F / 55°C.
E0028: the charging temperature of the BMS is below 35.6°F / 2°C. Stop using it until the temperature is above 37.4°F / 3°C. The guide gives the charging temperature range as 32°F to 104°F / 0°C to 40°C.
E0032: the discharging temperature of the BMS exceeds 145.4°F / 63°C. Stop using it until it is below 140°F / 60°C.
E0033: the discharging temperature of the BMS is below -2.2°F / -19°C. Stop using it until it is above 1.4°F / -17°C.
AC overload: E0036
E0036: the output power of the AC port exceeds about 2,000W. Make sure the power of the device on the AC output is under 2,000W, then press the AC output button again.
The same guide describes a SurgePad feature for up to 2,400W AC output, and says it works better with devices that generate heat but does not support precision instruments or devices with voltage protection or strict voltage requirements.
Power, screen and standby behaviour to know before you suspect a fault
Press the main power button for 3 seconds to turn the power station on or off. One short press turns the screen on; it switches itself off after 30 seconds, and that delay can be changed in the Anker app. The default standby duration is 12 hours and can also be set in the app.
This page lists only the ten codes found in the guide's error table. If the display shows a different code, check the full user guide linked below.
Key Facts At a Glance
- E0036: AC output above about 2,000W; keep the load under 2,000W and press the AC button again (C1000 Gen 2 user guide).
- E0027 / E0028: BMS charging temperature above 58°C or below 2°C.
- E0032 / E0033: BMS discharging temperature above 63°C or below -19°C.
- E0009 / E0010: overload or short circuit on the USB-C ports; disconnect and reconnect.
- Default standby is 12 hours; the screen turns off after 30 seconds.
FAQ
What does E0036 mean on the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2?
The AC output is above about 2,000W. Anker's fix is to make sure the connected device draws under 2,000W and press the AC output button again.
What do I do about a temperature error?
Stop using the unit until it is back within range. For example, after E0028 (BMS charging temperature below 2°C) wait until it is above 3°C; after E0027 (above 58°C) wait until it is below 55°C.
Why did the screen go dark? Is that an error?
No. The screen turns itself off 30 seconds after you wake it, and that delay can be changed in the Anker app. It does not mean the unit has switched off.
