The Checks, One by One
| Check | Result | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Running watts | ✅ pass | 3500W continuous output covers the appliance's 200W running draw, leaving 3300W of headroom. |
| Startup surge | ✅ pass | 7000W surge rating covers the appliance's 600W startup spike. |
| Runtime | ℹ️ info | 4800Wh of battery at a 75% AC-inverter efficiency factor gives roughly 18 hours of continuous running at 200W. |

How Long It Would Run
At a continuous 200W draw, the Renogy Lycan 5000 Power Box's 4800Wh battery gives roughly 18 hours after accounting for a 75% AC-inverter efficiency factor.
A full-size refrigerator / freezer does not draw power continuously — it cycles. At a realistic 40% duty cycle, expect closer to 45 hours of real-world coverage.
About This Appliance
A full-size french-door fridge/freezer draws roughly twice a mini-fridge (195-207W running). Compressor duty cycling applies.

Methodology
Verdict computed from this project's verified entity data using the same gates as its use-case scoring: waveform requirement first (an unconfirmed inverter type fails rather than passing), then continuous watts, then startup surge, then runtime at a 75% AC-inverter efficiency factor. Entity specs verified 2026-09-13; appliance figure from data/use-cases/refrigerator-backup.json (full_size_fridge_freezer).
